David, Founder of DSquare Salon, has been mastering his craft as a stylist in the industry for over 20 years. His professional bio includes mentoring and working with great hairstylists from the Vidal Sassoon family and prestigious stylists in Toronto.
David's philosophy is not selling the signature look, but instead embracing the idea that a style should be as unique as the client. Expect a full examination of facial structure, lifestyle and hair quirks before he gets to work. David's passion and skill set are in cutting and colouring hair, and working expertly with extensions.
David has always been a big believer in mentoring up and coming stylists. He generously gives his time to teaching and transforms the salon into an unpretentious environment for learning.
LARISSA McCOURT
Co-owner of DSquare Salon, Larissa McCourt's distinctive and polished hair designs have been drawing a loyal clientele for over 20 years.
Her passion for the industry has given her the opportunity to work in high-end Toronto studios, including television and print. Her work has been featured in several magazines and book covers nationwide. Larissa McCourt Hair and Makeup
Always working to perfect and improve her craft, Larissa has been sought out by top artists. Larissa is committed to giving her full attention to each client's unique personal style with flare and expertise. Larissa designs a current look ensuring every client leaves the salon feeling the best version of themselves.
Expertise includes precision cutting, curly hair, colour, and updos.
JOHANNA ORELLANA
Johanna has true passion and talent as a colour specialist which she's earned from nearly 15 years experience in the industry. Her pursuit of excellence has led her to extensive training in advanced colour theory including colour placement and balayage.
Jo's easy-going and fun loving disposition are traits that clients adore. She takes the time to provide a complete and thorough consultation to ensure the end result is a success. Maintaining the integrity of your hair is paramount, and it's one of the key reasons she builds loyalty and long-lasting relationships.
Johanna values the happiness of her clientele and will go above and beyond to achieve it. She believes that adding colour to your hair will add sparkle to your life!
IRINA VINJOY
Creative, versatile and passionate about her craft, Irina Vinjoy has been able to establish herself as a successful hair colourist over the past 14+ years.
For as long as Irina can remembers she has had an affinity for all hair things , “so she took her passion and ran straight into the beauty world“. After finishing hairdressing school, Irina had the opportunity to work for some of the leading salons in Toronto where she focused her career in hair colour. Irina specializes in balayage, babylights, gray blending and colour corrections, she strongly believes that all hair colours should look natural.
She continues to expand on her knowledge in hair, education is a key to success as styles and trends are constantly changing.
CHRISTINE UY
Christine has been in the industry for 15 years, having graduated from Marvel, Canada's original beauty school in 2004.
She has also completed an extensive 3 year extended education program in both cut and colour through her previous employer.
Through her career she has worked diligently on perfecting various techniques to make sure clients get exactly what they are looking for. She takes great pride in exceeding clients expectations.
On her downtime she loves researching current trends and styles to make sure she is up to date. Using this additional knowledge to further help and guide her clientele.
SANDRA BEDDARY
Sandra is a passionate and motivated stylist with over 17 years of experience. Having trained in some of the top salons and academies in Sweden, she continues to fall in love with her craft and bespoke hairdressing.
Sandra is an incredible precision cutter with a special talent for working with curly hair. Not only can Sandra give you the style you’ve been searching for, she’s also an enthusiastic colourist.
Sandra's work has been featured across Toronto’s finest hair salons.
CARLA AGUIRRE
Carla is an aspiring stylist captivated by the expression of character through hairstyle. As a young teen, Carla had always shown an interest in beauty. Experimenting with her own hair for several years, she has now turned that hobby into a skilled asset. Studying in a professional atmosphere and currently under the tutelage of both senior stylists David and Kerry, Carla is striving to be the best in her field.
With a passion for current trends, Carla is kept on the edge of her seat for her next hair adventure. As she is continuously seeking ways to improve and always up for a challenge, Carla continues to deliver her best work with positive momentum.
HOLLIE DEE
Hollie's training began at the Aveda Academy where she learned colour and cutting techniques. She was mentored in advanced cutting and colouring techniques at Dsquare Salon under David and Larissa. Hollie is currently working as a Junior Stylist at Dsquare creating beautiful cuts and colours.
Hollie's passion for hair started at a young age which has now grown into a promising career. She enjoys working with creative colours to help you better express yourself and have fun with your hair.
